Planting trees to support children with additional needs

We’re delighted to partner with Treeapp  to support Foreland Fields Charity and their tree planting project.

Treeapp is a global tree planting organisation, supporting both businesses and individuals to make a positive difference for our planet. They enable people to easily plant trees, absorb their carbon footprint and have a more sustainable lifestyle.

A number of the Spring team spent a day planting trees and learning about  the importance of initiatives such as these. Partnering with the Foreland Fields Charity, our team contributed to transforming a 5-6 acre plot into a dedicated space for students. On the day of the event, an initial 500 trees were planted.

Planted at Foreland Fields School, these trees will serve as more than just greenery; they’ll provide an educational environment for students to learn about reforestation and engage with nature. The school provides for pupils who have Profound, Severe and Complex Needs (PSCN), and the peaceful setting created will be particularly beneficial for students with conditions such as high functioning autism, as they naturally minimise noise and visual distractions.

We’d like to thank  Godefroy Harito and his Treeapp team, Peter Hasted  (the amazing arboriculturist) and Diarmuid Molloy  from Forland Fields Charity for a wonderful day out that was both educational and rewarding. We look forwarding to taking part in similar initiatives in future, as part of our commitment to ESG.
