What is a wayleave and when is it needed?

A wayleave is a legal agreement between the landlord or landowner and Spring Fibre, giving us permission to access their private land to install and maintain our equipment. If you are renting your home or business, you will need a wayleave before we can connect your property to full fibre. Please speak to your chosen ISP about getting a wayleave in place to get connected to our network.

When don’t we need a wayleave?
There is usually no need for a wayleave if the landowner has requested a broadband installation or for us to carry out works.

How long does a wayleave last?
A wayleave is usually an ongoing agreement that will apply to the equipment it covers even if the owner of the land or property changes.

How long is there to consider a wayleave request?
We cannot start work until the landlord or landowner has signed the agreement. If you have any questions, please do get in touch.
