Achieving Net Zero by 2030

As part of Net Zero Week, today we are proud to announce we are fully committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions, across all scopes, by 2030. This ambitious commitment reflects our dedication to environmental stewardship and our proactive approach to mitigating climate change.

Spring is committed to becoming the UK’s most sustainable full fibre network and our dedication to environmental principles guides every aspect of our operations. As an SME, we have the freedom to pursue ambitious goals, make decisions swiftly and lead the industry in eco-friendly initiatives.

Spring has joined Tech Zero, a group of over 300 tech companies joining forces to accelerate progress to Net Zero; supporting tech companies to make a climate action plan, and use tech to help their customers live more sustainably. As part of this, we’ll be providing regular, transparent updates on our progress.

Our key initiatives include:

  • Emission reduction: Reducing use of fossil fuels and carbon-intensive materials along our supply chain and operations.
  • Renewable energy: Transitioning to 100% renewable energy sources for our operations.
  • Carbon offsetting: Investing in carbon offset projects to balance our emissions.
  • Innovation: Continuously seeking innovative solutions to reduce our carbon footprint and enhance energy efficiency for our customers.
  • Sustainable operations: Implementing energy-efficient practices, reviewing our fleet and optimising our processes to minimise our carbon footprint.
  • Sustainable supply chain: Working with suppliers to achieve sustainability throughout our value chain and encourage Net Zero targets.

Spring is actively engaging with our investors, suppliers, customers, and partners to join us in prioritising sustainability. We are dedicated to leading by example, demonstrating that achieving Net Zero is not just possible, but essential.
